Distance learners have the option to:
Supplement school or homeschool curriculum
by taking individual courses, Credit by Examinations and dual-credit courses.-OR-
Enroll as a full-time student in Texas Tech University Independent School District (TTUISD) –
Our accredited kindergarten through 12th grade diploma program.Educational goals are not restricted by semester-based class scheduling because students may enroll year-round.
TTUISD is a practical alternative for students who are home-schooled yet want a state-approved curriculum. Students whose needs cannot be met in a traditional classroom setting or whose professional activities make it difficult to attend school regularly find this path helpful. Many of our students are those whose families travel or move frequently; or who are living abroad but desire a strong U.S. education.

Computers and the Internet are here to stay and Long Distance Learning is one of the greatest benefits of the information, communication, and technology age in which we live. Long Distance Learning programs erase the hurdle of time and distance, and allow students and parents to tap into high quality programs and instructors -at a fraction of what it would cost to be physically present in a classroom.
Long Distance Learning programs are designed for students in grades K-12, high school students pursuing dual-credit and college credit by examination, and graduates (and parents) pursuing college courses from home. With curriculum, assignments, lecture notes, and exams, transmitted via e-mail and the Internet, learning from home has entered an entirely new dimension, providing tremendous learning opportunities to homeschooling families.
Each year, Homeschooling Parent Magazine publishes, as part of its January-February issue, a Guide to Long Distance Learning.
